Reilly Financial Advisors is looking to hire two SDSU students to join their team!!!

The first position is called a Participants Service Specialist which focuses on day to day support of participants in employer retirement plans (401ks, etc). This position will have a balance of some behind the scenes work in plan support and transitions, as well as the opportunity to speak (and eventually give recommendations) to clients face to face.

The second position is a Wealth Advisor role that acts as the main point of contact as a client facing advisor. This position will have the opportunity to work closely alongside the firm as well as learn from a trading/research team, operations team, and financial planning team.  Ideally, this person is actively pursuing and studying for the CFP®.

 Both positions are client facing, which as you know is often an important step and valuable experience in our industry. Make sure to mention in the email that you are apart of the SDSU FPA Student Chapter!

Robert Erling of Majestic Oak Advisory Group and affiliated with Ameriprise Financial Services, is looking to hire a paraplanner to join his team!! The job, in Temecula, is intended for an individual that would like to become a licensed financial advisor.

The right candidate will be responsible for all pre/post meeting task including: Financial Planning recommendations, meeting preparation, asset allocation recommendations, portfolio rebalancing recommendations, illustrations, summary letters, and Financial Plan deliverables. Training on all task and responsibilities will take place over the first 6 months of employment with ongoing coaching and assistance. The right candidate should be ready to test for their Series 7 within 6-8 months of employment in order to begin taking on client facing responsibilities by the 12th month of employment. Within 3 years of employment candidate should be prepared to test for their CFP.

As a paid intern, you will work in our Marin County office on all aspects of wealth management, including: solving client requests, data gathering and analysis, financial planning and portfolio reviews, meeting preparation, drafting trades, researching investments, client communication, client account maintenance, and implementation of recommendations. Your projects will increase in complexity as you demonstrate your competence and ability. The Associate Wealth Advisor Intern will also assist in writing and editing our newsletter, website, and social media content. All client relationships are handled on a team basis and the Associate Wealth Advisor Intern is a key member of the team.

We will consider applicants for the summer as well as during the school year. At the end of this internship, there will likely be an opportunity to move into a permanent position.

An Associate Wealth Advisor at JLFranklin Wealth Planning works in our Marin County office and supports Senior and Lead Advisors with all aspects of wealth management, including: solving client requests, data gathering and analysis, financial planning and portfolio reviews, meeting preparation, drafting trades, researching investments, client communication, client account maintenance, and implementation of recommendations. The Associate Wealth Advisor will also assist in writing and editing our newsletter, website, and social media content. Additionally, the Associate Wealth Advisor will participate in business development activities to attract clients. All client relationships are handled on a team basis and the Associate Wealth Advisor is a key member of the team. 

The ideal candidate will have some financial services experience (including college coursework), a basic understanding of financial planning, and a thirst to learn and grow as a financial planner.

The career path is toward becoming a Lead Advisor with business development responsibilities.
